Doodlebug meeting at Lejair
(quick prelim report and some video captures - more later)
The meeting of 13 to 14 May 2000 was a great success with 8 machines showing
up for at least part of the program. Lot's of activity including winching,
aerotowing and of course the doodlebugs. Ben's Ghost Buster and Tony's
Nargfly caused additional interest. No bent aluminium and no engine failures.
Day 1 was a navigation rally. I think 3 knew the way and the
others followed. Bad vis made it more interesting. It was a doddle for
me with the gps, though it took me about an hour to get a route with
3 turn points programed in-lack of use and manual at home!
Day2 was a trip to Sculthorpe land and return. An amazing dissused
airfield with a nine mile perimeter fence.

include it. The same goes for the pictures.
