2) What are the open sets in a CW complex?

2') Can you redefine the quotient topology on CW complex (what is an open set on a CW complex?)? :)

3) In Hatcher says, a space is contractible if the identity map of space is null homotopic.  This is slightly weaker than saying space deformation retracts to a point.  But in lectures said contractible if deformation retractible to a point.  Which definition use?

4) If r_\beta is a relator, how do you calculate N = << r_\beta >> ?
