A Research Symposium on Computational Number Theory will be held at the University of Durham starting on Monday 24th July 2000 and finishing on Thursday 3rd August 2000. This symposium is being supported by grants from the London Mathematical Society (LMS) and the British Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), and by Hewlett-Packard UK. This will be the 67th symposium in the series of LMS Durham Symposia held at Durham under the auspices of the London Mathematical Society. The main themes of the meeting will be:

Durham is 30 minutes drive from Newcastle and Teesside International Airports. Both have regular domestic and international flights. Durham is linked to Newcastle Airport by rail and metro.

Durham is also conveniently located on the east-coast railway line, for which time-tables are available on-line. Click here for a map of Durham showing the location of the railway station, the Mathematics department and Grey College.


All nonlocal participants will be accommodated in  rooms (with en-suite facilities) in Grey College .

Participants arrive on Monday 24th  July in time for dinner, with the lecture programme starting in the morning of 25th July. Departure will be after breakfast on Thursday 3 August.
