My main research interests are in Geometric Representation Theory. I have also interests in Algebra, Algebraic Geometry, and Computer Science.
Below you can find some examples of work students have done with me.

  • 2005, Ph.D Dissertation by Tim Honeywill.
It contains various interesting observations about Kazhdan-Lusztig cells in Coxeter groups, including Robinson–Schensted correspondence for affine type A groups and MAGMA implementation of Shi's algorithm.

  • 2007, Year 4 Essay by Victoria Hoskins.
It contains a nicely readable introduction into motivic integration including some explicit computations.

  • 2009, Year 4 Essay by Chris Bartlett.
It contains a computation of the character table of the group SL_2 over the ring of dual numbers over finite field of odd characteristic.

  • 2009, Year 2 Summer Project by Lambros Mavrides
It contains a compution of the character of the dihedral group of order 12 as it acts on the zero weight space of an irreducible representation of G_2 including GAP implementation.
