ONE DAY ERGODIC THEORY MEETING

This is part of a series of collaborative meetings between Bristol University, Liverpool University, Manchester University, Queen Mary, Surrey University and Warwick University, supported by a Scheme 3 grant from the London Mathematical Society.

• 1:00pm - 2:00pm in MS.04 Pablo Shmerkin (Manchester)
  Average local entropies, convolutions of Cantor measures, and the dimension of projections

• 2:15pm - 3:15pm in MS.05 Dan Thompson (Warwick)
  The irregular set for the beta shift carries full topological entropy (= log beta)

• 4:00pm - 5:00pm in MS.05 Ian Melbourne (Surrey)
  Weak invariance principle in the domain of a stable law for intermittency maps

All talks will take place in the Mathematics Department (Zeeman Building) at the University of Warwick.

Tea will be available between 3:15pm and 4:00pm. In the evening there will be a meal at a local venue.
