Home and the Enviroment

I have had a solar thermal (hot water) tubes on my house for about 10
years. With the aid of a new high tech super insulated hot water tank
put in this year by local installers
Hancock and Brown,
the house should be virtually self-
sufficient in hot water for 8-9 months of the year.
In October 2009 I also installed solar PV (= photovoltaic) panels. With 2.1KW peak output, they should generate at least 1800 KWhrs per year. For more details, see the case study on the installer's website . |
