Tom Collyer's sudoku & puzzle page
This is a page which will play host to all sorts of sudoku (and other logic puzzle) miscellany. Every week, I publish a 100% original hand-written logic puzzle on my blog in a Friday Puzzles series - an archive of all my work so far can be found here.
This is an all-but-impossible puzzle which satisfies Guinness world record criteria. The holder, a Belgian named Vincent Bertrand, solved it (after making a very lucky guess) in 3 minutes and 6 seconds. I decided to write a puzzle which met the same criteria, but is much easier. This has been solved in a significantly faster time than officially clocked - proving my point that trying to successfully standardise sudoku is an exercise in fiendish logical subtlety rivalling the aforementioned puzzle - and thus ultimately that any sort of sudoku record is meaningless.
