Age and gender structure of broad ethnic groups in Great Britain, 1998

These population pyramids" summarise contrasts in age structure between white and minority ethnic groups in 1998. A much larger percentage of the white people than for people from minority ethnic groups are elderly, while a muchg larger percentage of the latter ethnic groups are very young. However, all ethnic groups display a relative lack of young adults (people aged 16 to 24).
