Title: Stability condition on threefolds (and why you should care)
Abstract:
I will describe a conjectural construction of Bridgeland stability
conditions on the derived category of a smooth projective threefold.
While the main motivation for the construction comes from string theory
and mirror symmetry, I will instead focus on its relation to questions
in birational geometry: Bogomolov-Gieseker type inequalities for stable
objects, Reider-type theorems and Fujita's conjecture for adjoint line
bundles on threefolds.
This is joint work with Emanuele Macrì and Yukinobu Toda.
