Title: Hurwitz Numbers and polynomiality

Abstract: Hurwitz Numbers count maps between Riemann surfaces with specified ramification; equivalently, they count certain products in the symmetric group. We discuss connections between polynomiality of Hurwitz numbers and the topology of (tropical) moduli spaces.
